Holton, a Nationally Recognized Community Health Leader, Brings 40 Years Experience to Federally Qualified Health Center
WORCESTER, Mass. – Family Health Center of Worcester, a federally qualified community health center, today announced the appointment of Michael Holton to its leadership team as interim chief financial officer, effective October 17, 2022. Mr. Holton brings over 40 years of financial and operations experience in the community health center industry.

Mr. Holton is a Community Health Center leader with experience working in two community health centers, five years with the NC Primary Care Association, nine years with the National Association of Community Health Centers as Director of Financial Management Assistance, and three and a half years with a national accounting, audit, tax and consulting firm.
With over 40 years in the community health center industry, Michael Holton has provided support in the financial and operations areas at the local, state and national levels. Mr. Holton’s expertise include financial and operations management revenue and reimbursement, strategic and business planning, practice operations management operations and information technology management.
Mr. Holton will serve as interim chief financial officer until a permanent chief financial officer is on-boarded. The recruitment process for the permanent officer is currently underway and several candidates with well-suited finance backgrounds in the federally qualified community health center model are engaging in the interview process.
