Worcester, MA – [December 20, 2023] – Family Health Center of Worcester today announced the appointment of Robert E. Jenal to its board of directors. Jenal, a respected healthcare leader who served UMass Medical School for more than three decades, brings a wealth of expertise in finance, operations, and administration to the federally qualified health center.
Jenal joined UMass Medical School in 1989 from UMass Amherst’s budget office, quickly establishing himself as a key leader in fostering the school’s growth and financial stability.
His role expanded significantly in 2011 when he became the executive vice chancellor for administration and finance, overseeing crucial areas like financial reporting, campus services, and emergency management. Jenal’s tenure at UMass Medical School was marked by numerous achievements, including the modernization of financial systems and significant project financing.

Family Health Center of Worcester which posted a record financial surplus for Fiscal Year 2023, is undergoing significant operational revitalization as part of its new strategic plan which is currently being refined by the majority consumer board of directors.
