Worcester Health Center Receives $300k Grant for Oral Health Services

The Family Health Center of Worcester has received a $300,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to expand their oral health service capacity through new infrastructure enhancements.

“Family Health Center’s Dental Department has been recognized nationally as an innovator and model of best practices in dentistry,” said Lou Brady, President and CEO of Family Health Center. “This new grant will allow us to purchase equipment necessary to continue to provide state of the art dental care to our patients.”

Family Health Center of Worcester is one of 9 health centers in Massachusetts to receive an award — 298 health centers nationwide were awarded with a total of $85 million.

These investments are the first by HRSA to solely focus on oral health infrastructure and will enable HRSA-funded health centers to provide new, or enhance existing, oral health services.
